I have used a compounding pharmacy in Mississippi & Louisiana for 10 years for the same physician ordered prescription. But this time the same experience has changed. A powder enclosed in gelatin capsules is now very difficult to release because the capsule can't be opened by hand!
To open the capsule instead of using four fingers as before I now have to use two sets of ordinary plyers to pull apart the two ends!
Sometimes it cracks the capsule halves dumping shards of colored gelatin into the medical powder and very rarely with extreme tedium the capsule halves separate enough to manually open & dispense the medical powder correctly.
I suspect that in order to increase its profits the pharmacy is buying substandard capsules made in India rather than China or Taiwan. Who's fault is this, trumpflation or Medicare mismanagement from the Kennedy - Oz gang?
