In the close.of WWII the Soviet Union beat back the Wermacht the Nazi invaders WITH THE HELP OF THE BITTER RUSSIAN WINTER so the same weapon of nature is what Russia is now counting on to win the Ukraine war or totally depopulate their land to clear it once and for all of resistance forces.
