THE REGIME IN WHITE HOUSE refuses to respond to any media organization that it deems independent of its control. So any request for comment from "The White House" usually results in NO RESPONSE .
This is also his official policy regarding street protests against him or his policies!
JUST LIKE RUSSIA IN SOVIET TIMES UNDER HAM FISTED LEONID BREZHNEV which did occasionally earn an official response in the form of WATER CANNONS & BULLDOZERS such as when public art shows occured without state permits!
