GINGRICH PUBLIC MEDIA worse yet?

Trump's angry demand to DEFUND public media after it publicized Signal app screw up might have little noticable effect for viewers and listeners because ever since the Reagan era when vocal conservative critics of taxpayers subsidizing the "one sided" opinions of these networks gained traction and federal subsidies were first slashed.

Both NPR and PBS have relied heavily on private foundation funding and so-called "sponsorships" aka COMMERCIAL ADS!

Public radio especially NPR is now in practice "COMMERCIAL PUBLIC RADIO"  or "GINGRICH COMMERCIAL PUBLIC RADIO" it has SO many monotonous advertisements particularly during afternoons that some formerly loyal listeners switch to alternative radio media or turn off the volume entirely to save wasted electricity & gain five minutes or more of peace & calm!

These latter reactions are exactly what conservative critics want to have happen by "de-funding" NPR of federal support.  To reduce the listener audience of  pro "liberal, Democrat" media voices!

Since the words SUPPORTED BY and SUPPORT are used so constantly on NPR stations it is almost a challenge to see how many times I can repeat the word "support" during NPR ad breaks (Terry Gross - "short break"  every ten minutes!)

So that while repeating the word I fail to hear any of the advertising message words during my continuous chant of "SUPPORT"!

So minus federal funding public media will not immediately die but just be even harder to listen to for those intolerant of commercial & verbal monotony.  Loyal supporters of NPR will become the same as those of traditional commercial media who are thankful to anybody funding the stations.
