Republicans in Congress don't care about the debt ceiling issue in general because a default of federal obligations wont inconvenience their lifestyles!
This is because congressional Republicans will be supported by the stock market and their friends or patrons in the billionaire class whom they are installed to serve!
Republicans live outside the economic world of regular Americans.
