If China has a falling birthrate why does it worry about North Korean refugees/defectors rushing into China? These people should be eager to start normal families in a more free society and have more traditional family values than modern Chinese. Yes they will be low income immigrants in China s high cost economy so they should get some basic starting subsidies.
The fall of PRC birthrate is probably also a result of high density urban planning and fewer people living in rural areas where large families were more common in old China.
The return of feudal thinking about females (Xi is a Maoist right?) also discouraging young women from starting families or following central government policies. Possibly even feudal era female PROSTITUTION will resume in China if employment discrimination against female job applicants continues to prevail!
COLLECTIVE LEADERSHIP IN CPC NEEDS TO RESUME during this period!
