The main reason the leaders of China and Russia snubbed the COP 21 climate conference is basically they are restoring the face of the IRON CURTAIN ! In Soviet times communist leaders preferred to show to the West the vast grey face of Stalin's unresponsive State.
The iron curtain had no comment nor any expression of human emotion or concern for the latest affairs of the free world outside its nuke armed borders lined with ugly battle tanks. Until recently, this was the face of North Korea as well before it's many problems and genetically deformed dynastic leadership began to lose self confidence in self reliance!
Myanmar may as well be behind the iron curtain as well except that it's brutal dictatorship makes no pretense of communist organization but it too gives the free world its middle finger at best.
