In Afghanistan the civil war seems like a repeat of the 1940s civil war in China which makes me wonder if CCP is helping direct the strategy the Taliban is using against the modern KMT & U.S. "mercenaries" . So when Kabul finally falls dont be surprised to see mass trials & executions in sports stadiums as occurred in Peking and Shanghai during 1949.
China has financial interests in mining and avoiding Muslim radicalism in Chinas western provinces so they may already be buying off the Taliban which has little practical experience governing a functioning nation.
The other possible experience of the Taliban this time around is to imitate Cambodia's Khmer rouge and empty Afghanistan's cities by brutal force to bring to reality the primitive social theories of ISIS next door?
