US Aging population outnumbers working age people who're needed to support it says a new book. However, I believe the radical social, economic and educational changes required to sustain our society may NOT be as extreme as predicted if violent climate change events cull the herd of the weak.
So "how we will live" may be a matter of who and how many will survive extreme storms, droughts, floods, sea level rise, earthquakes, forest fires and the ongoing US political civil war between pro and anti-government interest groups the later of which is actively working to "kill off" the aging and disabled poor populations dependent on subsidized health care, housing and low skilled employment.
Personally, I don't see myself as being able to live very much past my present mid 50's if all these negative elements persist and increase in intensity.
Therefor I'm betting on the premise of this book being mostly irrelevant in 20 or 30 years. "Be well"
