It appears the latest gadget craze from generic Chinese factories is the handheld, pencil-like drink mixer or frother.
Some versions are battery powered others USB rechargeable, many different colors and black, metal bodies and plastic ergonomic. The most desirable feature is the high rpm micro motors which blend drink mixes and nutrition powders almost instantly every time until, that is, the devices just drop dead!
Probably the cause of all these failures is the "high speed motors" fail due to high speed which generates excess heat and premature wear on the wire "brushes " inside. To make these popular products last longer than three months (longest warranty) the tiny electric motors need to be of the same quality AS DRONE MOTORS and thus the prices should rise accordingly.
If future drink frothers offer reliable,long-lasting motors (1 year+) the increased prices won't discourage most consumers!
An alternative for the cheap "disposable " models is a sort of instant replacement plan where consumers pay a membership fee and failed units are returned postage paid to the manufacturer for recycling of parts such as the generic stirrers. This would be similar to the ink jet cartridge recycling process!
