ARCTIC COLD, WATER MAINS, TRUCKING JOBS and Small streets - CONNECTING THE PIPES.

One more adventure of cold weather and aging infrastructure(or too many neighbors with Trailer trucks?) has come to visit our street. Tonight upon returning from Chua I was greeted with a huge sign blocking our street "NO THROUGH TRAFFIC" it read. (luckily I got enough "Thru" to get in my driveway!)

Our local WATER MAIN broke at noon I'm told and now it's dark and cold at Ten min. to twelve and the crews are still at it refilling the long rectangular pit with truck load after truckload of fill dirt between which a pneumatic "stomper" goes about it's chopper-like bua-bua-bua-bua-bua biz of packing down each succeeding layer of soil until it eventually reaches grade level which's safe to drive over for "awhile" until a re-paving operation can be performed some future fine day.

If we REALLY luck out maybe they'll repave the whole block's many symmetrical craters! However, 'Till the water is turned back on I'm left with an unpleasant choice of collecting my stools for the next untold hours. Using a big orange bucket (and dumping it with the DOG'S piles in back yard, hey what's the difference, it's ALL shit?)

OR driving a few minutes down the road to our handy local SHEETZ (open 24/7) in hopes that ALL my neighbors haven't gotten the same idea and aren't waiting in a snaking cue at our nearest public latrine?
(SHEETZ- SHITZ hmmm what kinda COMBO is that !)

jajajaja ....... AND SO IT GOES; ...

"Here I sit with anxious heart, truly hoping--- it's ONLY a fart" !!)
